TEXTING

Rumor has it, GNHS students are allowed to use their cellular devices during free periods. If they can have it, why can't we? they obviously convince their deans that it isn't totally wrong. it can give student an opportunity to take their minds off of school work, and even HELP them with their school work. smart phones now a days have internet and calculators to help somebody find a definition of a word or solve a problem. Although, most deans believe that all students are just going to use their phone for texting and Facebook-ing; how bad is that. Besides, teachers use their phones too....Low-key. They don't get them confiscated.

THESE THINGSSSSSSS!!!!

Heart Rate Monitors! OMG, where do i start. Okay, first of all, they eat up a lot of time trying to put these on...probably about 5 minutes that can be used if you really wanted to have kids workout. these 5 minutes are valuable to those who strive for the 20 minutes to be in their target heart rate. Second these cause lots of problems. Sometimes you would be sweating super hard, working out extra raw, and your heart rate would be 20 below your heat rate. And its not because some are more fit than others, i see some overweight people talking to teachers saying their watches aren't reading the right heart rate. Plus bringing your strap is an extra thing to worry about. All-in-All, the heart rate monitors should not be necessary for physical education use. Oh yeah! Plus they're uncomfortable. It feels like a bra. #No SWAG

Fighting!

Its kinda BS that if somebody fights out of school, they can be punished in school. 1st off, even if its not on school property, you can get in trouble. WHY? it has nothing to do with school. just because somebody  brings it up to the deans, they think they HAVE TO do something about it. just because it seems like the "right thing to do". they belive in like safety and stuff, but seriously. 5 days out of school doesnt teach people a lesson on how not to fight out of school. At least they kept it out of school!!

Head Shavings

So our school is against people getting "head shavings" in their hair cuts.....WHY? I talked to my dean and she said that it can be a way of showing affiliation with any gang. What kinda stuff is that? NO! The past head shaving I saw in GCHS had NO gang symbols. none. All of US, the people who like getting designs, would not want to put a gang sign in our head. thats just lame. most people either get words or freestyle graphics. ONE kid. acouple years ago, messed it up for the remaining years of the school. i would like for that to change. people are getting in trouble for a cool, artistic design that should have no reason to be apposed. i belive that the school should punish those who actually HAVE gang symbols in their hair. the school should have like a book with all gang related symbols and examine all the designs on those heads. WITH some exceptions, because people can make anything become gang related. for example, a star. NO. Its wrong.......SWAG
